Apex Kratom Review: Strain Selection, Overall Quality (Or Lack Of), & More

Apex Kratom is an online kratom vendor selling kratom powder and capsules. The company also runs a website about kratom that includes articles on strains for different uses, guides on how to use kratom, and more.

This company review will look at Apex Kratom from the ground up. We’ll discuss the available products, their quality and consistency, and the safety information for its offerings.

We’ll also explain why we don’t recommend ordering from this company, and we’ll include some alternatives that are much more reliable.

Apex Kratom

1 / 5
Ranked 173 out of 190 vendors

A glance at the informational and store websites is enough to raise suspicion. A deeper look doesn’t make us feel any better.

About the Company

Apex Kratom sells kratom products exclusively online. The contact information lists an address in Northern Ireland for Apex Online Solutions (a public relations and advertising business), and the phone number is for Winston Salem, North Carolina.

This information, and the lack of company history, backstory, or About Us page, causes great skepticism. We don’t always disregard companies with no company information available, but other red flags make us wary about product safety and quality.

These red flags include no certification by the American Kratom Association (AKA), no lab test results or mention of testing completed on the products, and a poor return policy that doesn’t let you send back your products if you’re not satisfied.

Even the informational website is poorly done and raises more questions. While the information itself doesn’t appear to be wrong (at least in the articles we read), it lacks depth and is — there’s no good way to put this — horribly written, suggesting minimal effort and thought was put into it. It comes across as a weak attempt to look like they take kratom seriously.

Pros
  • Affordable
  • Bulk pricing available
  • Free samples offered (you just pay shipping)
Cons
  • Not certified by the AKA
  • No lab testing completed on its products
  • Minimal strain selection
  • No company history
  • No returns for opened products
  • Poorly done websites
  • Sketchy company information
  • No information on the source
  • Very few reviews

Apex Kratom Product Reviews

Apex Kratom sells kratom powder and kratom capsules at a reasonable price. It sells both products in bulk quantities as well to help you save. It doesn’t carry kratom extracts, tinctures, or other delivery methods.

Kratom Leaf Powder

Kratom leaf powder is, as the name suggests, a powder made from crushed-up leaves from the Mitragyna speciosa tree. Kratom in powder form makes it possible to get super precise when dosing. While it’s not the most pleasant way to consume this bitter herb, it is typically the most affordable and accessible form of kratom.

Apex Kratom White Maeng Da Kratom Powder

White Maeng Da is a favorite strain among users looking for a serious boost of energy and mood enhancement. It’s often touted as one of the best strain options for both purposes.

While many white-vein kratom strains can induce anxiety because of the stimulation, this one is well-known among users for being a more anti-anxiety option. It is said to soothe the mind while increasing focus and attention, making it a popular choice among students and business professionals looking to gain an edge. It’s popular for daytime use.

The high concentration of both mitragynine — the stimulative alkaloid in kratom — and 7-hydroxymitragynine — the sedative alkaloid — makes this a suitable strain for people wanting pain relief with a boost of energy.

Price: $8.99 for 28 g, $15.99 for 56 g, $29.99 for 112 g, $45.99 for 224 g, $50.99 for 250 g, $65.99 for 448 g, $70.99 for 500 g, or $129.99 for 1 kg

Apex Kratom Green Maeng Da Kratom Powder

Since Maeng Da Kratom is one of the most potent kratom varieties available, it’s no surprise that Green Maeng Da is Apex’s second best seller.

It’s a more balanced strain than the white and red Maeng Da options. It’s believed to provide stimulation and nootropic effects in smaller doses; larger amounts relieve pain and anxiety and are relaxing. Most users find the Green Maeng Da experience not overwhelming, so it’s a popular strain recommendation for beginners.

Green Maeng Da kratom is also a favorite among users looking for mood enhancement, which is another reason why it’s so popular.

Price: $8.99 for 28 g, $15.99 for 56 g, $29.99 for 112 g, $45.99 for 224 g, $50.99 for 250 g, $65.99 for 448 g, $70.99 for 500 g, or $129.99 for 1 kg

Apex Kratom Red Borneo Kratom Powder

Red Borneo is many users’ go-to strain for winding down and inducing intense but balanced relaxation and sedation. It has an unusually high concentration of 7-hydroxymitragynine. Most people find that this alkaloid can soothe mild to moderate pain and bring on deep relaxation and sleepiness.

Red Borneo is often used to relieve anxiety, and many users say it’s the best option. It’s believed to bring a calm mind that many other strains cannot replicate.

As a popular red-vein kratom strain, Red Borneo is sometimes out of stock, especially in the lower quantities typically available on Apex Kratom’s website.

Price: $8.99 for 28 g, $15.99 for 56 g, $29.99 for 112 g, $45.99 for 224 g, $50.99 for 250 g, $65.99 for 448 g, $70.99 for 500 g, or $129.99 for 1 kg

Other Strains Offered By Apex Kratom

Apex Kratom has a relatively small selection of kratom strains available for purchase. It does have the three primary strain colors represented in powder form, but the options within those colors are limited.

Below is a list of all of the strains that Apex carries at the time of writing:

Keep in mind that some of the more popular strains are sometimes unavailable in the smaller sizes.

Kratom Capsules

Kratom capsules are gel caps filled with kratom powder. They provide a more convenient way to consume kratom that doesn’t require weighing the product or tasting kratom’s bitter and unpleasant flavor. Capsules are more expensive for an equivalent amount of kratom powder, and dosing is less controllable. However, many people still prefer this dosing method.

Apex Kratom Green Malay Kratom Capsules

Green Malay kratom is most often used to get the stimulative effects of a white-vein strain with the pain-relieving effects of red-vein strains. Green Malay is one of the most commonly-used varieties for daytime pain relief.

This strain is said to be a bit less intense than the white and red options, making it a popular choice for beginners and those who are sensitive to kratom.

Unfortunately, Apex doesn’t note on its website how much kratom powder is in each capsule, so you may have to use trial and error to find the best dose for your needs.

Finally, these capsules are sold by weight, so you can’t be sure how many you’re getting.

Price: $9.99 for 28 g, $17.99 for 56 g, or $32.99 for 112 g

Apex Kratom Red Maeng Da Kratom Capsules

Red Maeng Da kratom is a potent strain with high levels of the two primary kratom alkaloids: mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine. In low doses, it provides a robust energy boost and mood improvement. In higher doses, it’s considered an outstanding strain choice for moderate and severe pain relief.

Red Maeng Da kratom also makes most users tired, so it’s ideal for night-time use or when you don’t have responsibilities to attend to throughout the day.

These capsules are also sold by weight; there is no information on the amount of powder in each capsule.

Price: $9.99 for 28 g, $17.99 for 56 g, or $32.99 for 112 g

Apex Kratom White Borneo Kratom Capsules

White Borneo kratom is a potent white-vein strain with above-average concentrations of mitragynine. That means the strain is a good option for reaching maximum stimulation levels and provides mood enhancement for many users.

Even in higher doses, most individuals don’t see significant pain relief or anxiety reduction, and it’s not known to induce drowsiness. As such, it’s another excellent daytime strain.

These capsules are sold by weight, and the lack of per-capsule powder means you’ll have to play around with dosing to find what works for you.

Price: $9.99 for 28 g, $17.99 for 56 g, or $32.99 for 112 g

Is Apex Kratom Legit?

There are very few reviews on Apex. Even Reddit, where users often comment on their experiences, shows almost nothing. We can’t guarantee you’ll get your order or how good it will be.

Few reviews aren’t always a bad sign, but the company doesn’t state that its products are tested anywhere on its website. In the kratom industry, many users look for test results to verify the potency and purity of products. Untested kratom can have contaminants like dangerous heavy metals and bacteria, and there’s also a chance that the potency comes in way below average and what is expected by users.

Second, the company isn’t AKA-certified. This doesn’t always mean that a company is disreputable, but certification is a good way to confirm that the vendor is selling a high-quality product.

Apex Kratom doesn’t have a satisfaction guarantee and doesn’t accept returns on opened products. Again, this doesn’t automatically mean that a company is terrible. Still, it does suggest that it’s concerned mainly about profit and less about the well-being and satisfaction of you as the customer.

Combined with an lack of information — and what we know is sketchy — and poorly done websites, we suggest shying away from this company and choosing one that at least provides third-party lab results for its products.

What You Can Expect To Pay

One thing Apex Kratom has going for it is relatively low prices. The company maintains below-average pricing for its powders and capsules, though that can speak volumes about the quality.

The company sells kratom powders in the following quantities and according to the below prices:

  • $8.99 for 28 g
  • $15.99 for 56 g
  • $29.99 for 112 g
  • $45.99 for 224 g
  • $50.99 for 250 g
  • $65.99 for 448 g
  • $70.99 for 500 g
  • $129.99 for 1 kg

Bulk pricing is also available on the website, although the prices are the same as those listed above for the given quantities. It’s confusing why Apex has bulk orders listed separately on its website.

The capsules this company provides are sold according to weight, and the capsule prices come in just a touch higher than the powder.

The quantities and prices available are listed below:

  • $9.99 for 28 g
  • $17.99 for 56 g
  • $32.99 for 112 g

Lastly, the company offers “free samples” for powders and capsules that come in quantities of 10 g each. You’ll have to pay for shipping, which is $2.99.

Accepted Payment Options

Unfortunately, Apex Kratom only offers one payment option: e-Checks. While this is a preferred method for some users, many look for more convenient options, like credit cards, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, and money orders.

When you send an e-Check, you’ll have to way for 2 to 3 business days for the payment to clear before your product is shipped. This can delay your shipment, making Apex a less-than-ideal company to order from if you need to get your kratom quickly.

Apex Kratom Coupon Codes

Apex Kratom accepts discount codes, although we could not find any specific codes online. However, you can sign up for the company’s newsletter on its website to get 10% off your first order, a nice bonus for first-time shoppers.

What Other Customers Say About This Brand

As we mentioned above, Apex Kratom has no customer reviews available on reputable sites like Reddit. There is a mention of the company on Reddit, but the user just mentioned that free samples were available.

The lack of substantial customer reviews combined with the other red flags mentioned above means that we have to recommend that you pass on Apex Kratom and choose a more reputable and transparent company.

Shipping & Returns

Apex Kratom ships orders using USPS First Class, meaning it only sends products to customers in the United States. There is only one shipment option, which means you’ll be waiting at least a week for your product, including the time it takes for your e-Check to clear.

It’s worth noting that Apex offers free shipping on all orders over $75, incentivizing customers to stock up on its products. However, we only recommend taking advantage of this perk if you’ve tried Apex’s products before and have been satisfied.

This is especially true since you cannot return opened kratom. Apex accepts returns of unopened products only, so you cannot try it out and decide if you like it before confirming that you’ll keep it.

Best Alternative Kratom Vendors

We cannot, in good conscience, recommend Apex Kratom because it doesn’t provide the kind of transparency we look for in a reliable kratom vendor. Below, we’ll include some alternatives, all reputable kratom vendors that sell higher-quality products and provide more peace of mind for customers with satisfaction guarantees and extensive lab testing for their products.

1. Kona Kratom

Aka GMP Certified yes
Pricing $45.00 — $115.00
Verified Vendor

Kona Kratom

4.95 / 5
Ranked 1 out of 190 vendors

Kona Kratom is an industry leader because of its commitment to quality and affordable pricing. It posts lab results for every one of its products, so you can always confirm that you’re getting what you pay for potency and product safety.

Kona Kratom is an AKA-certified company that backs its products with a 30-day customer satisfaction guarantee. This is uncommon in the industry and paints a clear picture of the quality you can expect from the company.

The shipping times are a bit slow in some cases, but Kona is a stellar option if you can wait a few days to restock.

Pros:

  • Great variety of strains available
  • 30-day customer satisfaction guarantee
  • Lab results available for all products
  • Affordable pricing, especially for the quality
  • Excellent customer service
  • AKA-certified

Cons:

  • Shipping times can be a bit slow

2. VIP Kratom

Aka GMP Certified yes
Pricing $40.00 — $125.00
Verified Vendor

VIP Kratom

4.85 / 5
Ranked 4 out of 190 vendors

VIP Kratom is aptly named because of its unending commitment to providing top-quality kratom products. It carries powders and capsules in a wide array of strain options, and every product has lab results to confirm quality and purity.

VIP Kratom is expensive, but most customers find the cost worth it. Most customer reviews are positive, and most users note that the potency is far higher than you’d see from most competitors.

VIP Kratom is also AKA-certified and includes a 30-day satisfaction guarantee with a robust return policy to instill confidence in all customers.

Pros and Cons

  • AKA-certified company
  • A third-party lab tests all products
  • 30-day satisfaction guarantee
  • High potency and outstanding overall quality
  • Mostly positive customer reviews
  • Fast shipping

Cons:

  • Expensive

3. Star Kratom

Aka GMP Certified yes
Pricing $35 — $95
Verified Vendor

Star Kratom

4.9 / 5
Ranked 2 out of 190 vendors

Star Kratom is a great vendor option for those interested in high-quality kratom but finds the cost prohibitive. This company maintains around average pricing, but it still provides transparency in lab tests that show a high potency and purity for a safe, effective product.

Star Kratom has a relatively limited selection of strains, just like Apex Kratom. However, the products come backed by a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, and the company is AKA-certified.

This vendor also has excellent customer support and maintains positive reviews, so customers always feel they are in good hands.

Pros:

  • Great quality for the price
  • Relatively affordable
  • 30-day satisfaction guarantee
  • Great return policy
  • Generally positive customer reviews
  • Lab results available for all products

Cons:

  • Limited selection of strains

Final Thoughts: Apex Kratom Makes Us Uneasy

Apex Kratom has super affordable prices, which makes its products seem pretty appealing. Unfortunately, the company falls short in almost every area, making it a hard “pass” in our book.

There are too many red flags, including a lack of AKA certification, lab test results, any mention of testing, company information, and genuine customer reviews online. Without these critical factors, we recommend against choosing Apex for your kratom needs. Less importantly, the strain selection is limited, and the return policy is far from ideal.

We’d suggest choosing another vendor for kratom powders and capsules. Three of the top vendors we feel comfortable recommending include Kona Kratom, VIP Kratom, and Star Kratom.
