Dr. Carlson is a retired neurologist and regular contributor at Kratom.org. He serves as a peer-review editor for several medical journals. During his career, Dr. Carlson was involved in various research programs exploring synthetic and plant-based derivatives of potential nociceptive and analgesic agents — including, but not limited to kratom. A lot of his work is credited for advancing our understanding of kinin-based analgesics.
