What Is Red Asia Kratom? Effects, Dosage, Safety & More

Red Asia Kratom is often hard to find, and it’s one of the most sought-after products on the kratom market.

Some suspect that Red Asia is just another name for Red Bali kratom. Others suggest that it’s just a blanket term that vendors use to describe any kratom product (since they’re all from Asia).

Fortunately, our research has revealed that Red Asia Kratom isn’t just a cop-out. It’s a great strain — in fact, the name can refer to several strains — and we’ll teach you all about them today.

What Is Red Asia Kratom?

Red Asia Kratom is a blanket term for several different types of kratom. However, despite what some consumers think, it’s not just a name that vendors throw onto their Indonesian or Bali strains.

Red Asia Kratom actually describes several kratom strains that are unique and hard to find. Some of these include Red Batak Kratom, Red Brunei Kratom, and Red Sunda Kratom.

It’s also important to note that strains part of the “Red Asia variety” are mostly grown in Sumatra rather than Bali.

Sumatra is one of the most biodiverse places on the planet. The jungles you’ll find here are loaded with exotic plants thriving in soil that’s jam-packed full of vitamins and minerals.

Suffice to say, Sumatra kratom is potent and powerful.

That said, it can be a challenge to find vendors who specify what particular cultivar they’re selling when it comes to Red Asia. To do this, you may have to speak directly with a vendor.

What Does Red Asia Kratom Do?

Red kratom strains are generally fermented. The natural oxidation and fermentation allow for the development of higher concentrations of certain alkaloids.

In red strains, the alkaloids found in abundance are paynantheine, speciogynine, and the grandaddy alkaloid 7-OH-mitragynine.

The fantastic interplay between these powerful compounds makes Red Asia kratom quite sedating and relaxing. It’s a strain known to produce sedation and relaxation — as well as focus and clarity, which is often unexpected for a red strain.

Here’s a quick outline of Red Asia Kratom’s effects. Remember, these effects can vary depending on the dosage that you take:

  • Energy: ⭐️⭐️ Red strains generally aren’t great for energy.
  • Mood: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Red Asia can help fight negative feelings.
  • Pain relief: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Red Asia strains excel at pain management.
  • Anxiety relief: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Red Asia strains are great for anxiety.
  • Sedation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Red Asia is great for sedation.

Red Asia Kratom for Energy

Realistically, Red Asia Kratom shouldn’t be your go-to for energy. At low doses, it can still give you a little nip in the bud.

But if you’re looking for long-term energy for work or sports, don’t go with this strain.

Red Asia Kratom for Sleep

This is where Red Asia Kratom starts to show its serious power. It’s considered to be one of the best kratom strains for sleep support.

High concentrations of alkaloids like speciogynine and 7-OH-mitragynine make Red Asia strains fantastically sedating.

These are the strains that you’re going to want to come to if you’re looking for something to chill you out after a long day, de-stress after work, or fight insomnia.

This is also the reason that Red Asia strains aren’t the best if you’re hoping to have a productive day. You may find yourself more inclined to the couch.

Red Asia Kratom for Pain Relief

Red Asia Kratom is fantastic for pain relief, no matter which of the specialized strains you end up receiving. These strains are among the best for those seeking higher concentrations of sedating and painkilling alkaloids.

Red Asia Kratom is so effective for fighting pain that many people have used it to help them wean off and eventually stop using prescription drugs. We can’t constitute medical advice, but there are many anecdotal reports of this happening.

Red Asia Kratom for Anxiety

If you struggle with anxiety regularly, you may want to give Red Asia Kratom a try. It’s known for providing powerful anxiety relief.

It can stop a panic attack in its tracks and can be useful for managing social anxiety and generalized anxiety. Just keep in mind that this strain is highly sedating.

If you’re looking for something to keep you awake while squashing your anxiety, you might want to take advantage of one of the similar strains we’ll mention at the bottom of this article.

Red Asia Kratom for Mood

Red Asia Kratom is also a pretty good strain for anyone hoping to improve their mood.

While it lacks the same hard-hitting dopaminergic euphoria caused by some of the more stimulating strains, Red Asia still provides a sense of serenity and peace.

It’s able to help boost your mood by reducing some of the nonsensical chatter that many of us experience daily.

As a sedative painkiller, it can also be useful for managing things like depression. Just remember that this is a powerful plant that is deserving of respect. Abuse it, and it’ll end up biting you in the butt, which we’ll discuss in the next sections.

Red Asia Kratom Dosage

Since Red Asia Kratom can actually be considered a term describing several strains, you might expect dosing to be a bit complicated. It is, but not for the reasons you might expect.

Except for occasional fluctuations in alkaloid content, kratom can generally be taken in similar doses.

Of course, these doses are generally based on the ‘average’ kratom user (whatever that might be). Just remember that your weight, age, metabolism, and other factors come into play.

If you’re not seeing the described effects at the doses recommended, you should adjust your dose a bit. We’ll give you some tips on how to do that below.

Related: What’s the best dose of kratom?

Low Dose (Energy & Mood Boost)

(1–3 grams)

Taking a low dose of Red Asia Kratom won’t bring on the full effect of its sedating alkaloids. You might get a brief few moments of energy followed by relaxation and an improved mood.

Mid Dose (Anxiety Relief & Relaxation)

(1–5 grams)

You might find some anxiety relief even at lower doses, but this is generally when the relief starts to become more prominent. You’ll also find the physically relaxing properties of kratom tend to take effect much more.

High Dose (Sedation & Pain Relief)

(5–8 grams)

If you’re looking for a dose to knock you out or get rid of your pain, this is the one. Chances are you won’t want to do much besides veg out once you’ve taken a dose like this.

Tolerance & Dependency

Remember to be cautious. Taking high doses on a regular basis leads to the buildup of tolerance and potentially addiction.

This can easily be avoided by regulating your use. Unfortunately, kratom can be so effective at helping people manage so many problems that they decide to start using it every day.

Plainly put, you should avoid this. If you don’t, you’ll start developing tolerance, and that could lead to kratom addiction.

Regulate your use by setting limits on how often you can use it. To avoid addiction and tolerance entirely, don’t use kratom more than every three days.

If you find that you need relief more often than that, try to keep it to one low dose, once a day. Much more than that, and you’ll soon find tolerance building up.

Get a scale, measure your doses, and figure out exactly what dose you need for the effects that you desire. Then stick with this dose. If you change it, decrease it, don’t increase it.

Red Asia Kratom Side Effects

All kratom can cause some side effects. These are some of the most common:

  • Anxiety
  • Brain fog
  • Changes in libido
  • Digestive issues like vomiting and nausea
  • Dizziness, wobbling, confusion
  • Emotional blunting, emotional changes
  • Lethargy, sleeping in

These issues are more likely to occur with someone using Red Asia Kratom at high doses. If you experience any of these side effects, rest, drink plenty of water, and try spacing out each dose of kratom in the future.

Similar Kratom Strains

Here are a few similar strains that can provide similar benefits to Red Asia Kratom.

1. Yellow Thai Kratom

Yellow Thai Kratom is produced in a similar way as Red Asia Kratom. However, it has a bit more of a stimulating effect. This allows it to provide comparable sedation and anxiety relief without sending you straight to bed.

2. Red Bali Kratom

Red Bali Kratom is the one most often thought to be the base of Red Asia kratom. However, it’s got a feeling of its own. It’s generally the most popular strain to recommend to kratom newcomers because of its consistency and strength.

3. Green Asia Kratom

Green Asia Kratom is even harder to find than Red Asia Kratom, and consumers haven’t always found it 100% reliable. However, it could be worth a shot if you’re looking for a hard-to-find green strain.

Final Thoughts: Red Asia Kratom

Red Asia Kratom is one of the more challenging strains to find.

In part, this is because there aren’t a lot of vendors that stock it. On the other hand, you also don’t know what strain you might actually be getting.

Either way, whatever strain you do purchase will probably be very potent. Vendors selling Red Asia Kratom seem to ensure that anything sold under this label is strong and effective.
