What Is Yellow Indo Kratom?
Yellow Indo is the yellow vein version of the popular Indonesian kratom variety.
Since kratom grows abundantly throughout Indonesia, locally harvested kratom leaves are fairly easy to come by.
However, prior to several years ago, most of the strains we received in the West were either red, green, or white vein. So, where are these yellow strains coming from?
The answer to that question, unfortunately, depends a lot on who you ask.
Consumers will tell you one thing, vendors will tell you another. If you’re lucky enough to speak with a kratom farmer who’s fluent in English, he’ll also tell you something completely different.
Ultimately, all these different definitions are true. It just depends on where you buy your kratom from and how they operate.
Here are a few examples.
Vendors may create strains that they label as yellow by mixing different colored strains. For example, the Yellow Indo that you’re buying off Vendor X might just be his two favorite Indonesian strains mixed together.
Wholesalers and kratom farmers, on the other hand, tell a different story. They believe that the differences in kratom strains come not from the color of the veins but from the method used to ferment (oxidize) the leaves after harvesting.
Gold and yellow strains are fermented similarly to red strains. Instead of red strains, which are fermented for three days, yellow vein kratom is fermented for a shorter duration of time — just two days.
Then, a little bit of white kratom is thrown into the mix to add some more stimulating effects.
To make yellow Indo, a combination of fresh green or red Indo kratom is fermented for two days, which is then combined with about 20–40% white Indo.
The end result is a kratom that packs a powerful punch but remains middle of the road in terms of effects.
Benefits of Yellow Indo Kratom
Because of the unique processing of this plant, there are a number of interesting benefits that you can enjoy if you’re taking part in yellow Indo kratom. Here are a few examples of how it can help you.
- Energy: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Yellow Indo is mixed with the much more stimulating white Indo to boost this effect.
- Mood boost: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Yellow Indo can help enhance mood & motivation.
- Pain relief: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Yellow Indo also works well for fighting mild pain.
- Anxiety relief: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Yellow Indo is useful for people who struggle with chronic anxiety.
- Sedation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Yellow Indo is a reliable sedative in higher doses.
1. Yellow Indo For Sleep
Yellow Indo can be sedating at higher doses. It’s a good option for people who have mild to moderate difficulty sleeping. It’s not the strongest for this effect, but it also doesn’t leave you feeling lethargic or groggy the following morning like some of the more powerful sleep-supportive kratom strains.
2. Yellow Indo For Pain Relief
Yellow Indo is basically a red strain with some white mixed in. This means it can provide most of the pain-killing benefits as any other red strain without being too sedative-like most red vein kratom strains for pain.
For people with serious chronic pain, heavy red strains may be more effective. But for people with mild-to-moderate pain who need to function during the day, yellow Indo is a great option.
3. Yellow Indo For Anxiety Relief
Yellow Indo is one of the best kratom strains for anxiety. It’s a powerful anxiolytic, and many of the alkaloids present work to produce physical and mental relaxation.
This means that yellow Indo can allow you to manage an agitated mind — whether this is caused by chronic anxiety underlying trauma or emotional distress.
4. Yellow Indo For Mood Support
Yellow Indo is a fantastic strain for boosting your mood.
Many of the alkaloids present in yellow Indo kratom work directly on your brain’s neurotransmitters. Kratom has a profound effect on both the opioid receptors and the dopamine receptors. Both of these receptors are involved in the regulation of mood and motivation.
Yellow Indo Kratom Side Effects
While kratom has a number of benefits, it’s not without risk. Any herbal supplement needs to be respected. Overuse can lead to side effects and addiction.
Side effects generally only occur with excessive use. Some users who are sensitive to kratom may be more prone to side effects than others.
Some common side effects include:
- Nausea and vomiting
- Brain fog
Similar Kratom Strains
Yellow Indo is a very well-balanced strain. However, it can be fairly difficult to find at certain points of the year.
Here are some other strains to consider that share many of the same benefits as yellow Indo kratom:
1. White Indo Kratom
If you’re looking for long-lasting stimulation and focus, you’ll probably be interested in White Indo strain.
This strain contains fewer relaxing alkaloids and can provide sustained stimulation for several hours.
2. Red Indo Kratom
Red Indo Kratom is very similar to yellow Indo. However, it falls more on the sedating side of the spectrum.
Red Indo doesn’t have any white kratom mixed in with it, and as such, it doesn’t provide as strong of an impact on focus or concentration and can be a bit sedative if used during the day.
3. Green Indo Kratom
Green Indo kratom is a very balanced strain, similar to the yellow variety.
This strain provides a sustained boost of energy levels, even at low doses.
It’s not generally recommended for people seeking sedation exclusively, but at high doses, it can certainly be an effective pain reliever and sedative.
Green Indo is a good strain for people interested in experiencing kratom’s effects for the first time. It is similar to Yellow Indo in many ways; however, its effects are easier to recognize and evaluate.
Final Thoughts: What is Yellow Indo Kratom?
Yellow Indo kratom is a rare and well-balanced strain. It’s made by fermenting the red vein leaves for a shorter duration of time and then mixing in some of the more stimulating white vein Indo for a stronger stimulating effect.
At low doses, this strain provides an increase in focus and energy. At high doses, it’s much more sedative and analgesic.
If you’re looking for a good kratom strain to use throughout the day, yellow Indo may be a good option to consider.
