Kratom Shoppe Review

Ye Olde Kratom Shoppe, or more succinctly, Kratom Shoppe, is apt to use their old-time styled name since they’re one of the oldest kratom vendors on the market. If you’re a regular kratom buyer, then you’ve probably at least seen their name mentioned once or twice.

If you’re really old-school, you may even remember when people had good things to say about the company.

Unfortunately, Kratom Shoppe isn’t what it used to be. It’s lost a lot of its charm, quality, and customer service, leaving old fans in the dust.

This article reviews Kratom Shoppe — what it used to be and what it is now.

Kratom Shoppe

Vendor Rating: 1

Kratom Shoppe earns 1 stars for abandoning its customers and for the owner being publicly argumentative on its review board. It’s almost entertaining.

About the Company

Kratom Shoppe was one of the many Texas-based kratom shops with both a storefront and an online shop. The intention was to stay small, offering low prices on high-quality kratom that couldn’t be beaten.

We’re speaking in the past tense, however, because the actions of Kratom Shoppe didn’t align with its alleged intentions. At first, it provided a quality service. The kratom was high quality, and its customer service was excellent. However, it took a steep nosedive.

Shortly after the company started booming, receiving orders on the daily, the company fizzled out. The only thing left behind is a series of shocking replies from the owner to his customers’ complaints. Nobody ever figured out what happened to it, so the consensus is that it disappeared on the customers and pocketed their money.

Pros & Cons

Tragically, these pros and cons will have to be written mainly in the past tense since the company isn’t available anymore.

Pros:

  • Offered world-renowned kratom at top-notch quality
  • Low prices
  • Good customer service

Cons:

  • Stopped vending without leaving a trace, with orders paid for but unfilled.
  • Left customers so confused that a formal warning against them was posted on Reddit.

Kratom Shoppe Product Reviews

Nowadays, the website is still up and running. However, the only option you have is to look at its ‘gallery,’ which contains stock photos of kratom. You can ask for a ‘quote,’ which reviewers say never results in a response, or call a phone number that is allegedly never picked up. We tried calling, but there was no answer.

Since the website doesn’t offer much, we can’t really sort through their products and tell you which ones to buy.

Your best bet is to avoid them entirely. However, if you happen to run into one of the original store owners in person, or manage to secure a telephone or email response from the company, perhaps you could ask them what happened and let us know.

Is Kratom Shoppe Legit?

Kratom Shoppe certainly seemed legit during its earlier days. The company ran smoothly, shipped out its orders quickly, and ran a quick and responsive customer service system.

However, around 2015, the website and its customer service representatives stopped responding to their customers.

The fact that there was no move to contact the customers at all stinks of malevolence. Sure, sometimes a company might need to liquidate or go bankrupt. It’s unfortunate, but at least you can warn your customers.

Kratom Shoppe did no such thing. This only leaves us to suspect that it abandoned its customers intentionally.

Still, maybe it wasn’t on purpose. There are plenty of reasons that a company can go AWOL without warning. Perhaps the owners became ill or injured or were targeted by the FDA and raided. You never know.

What You Can Expect To Pay

As it stands, you can expect to pay absolutely nothing at Kratom Shoppe in exchange for absolutely no product.

Those who did order from the website before realizing the owners weren’t coming back were, understandably, disappointed and angry. Their payments were received (at least, they were deposited).

Either way, they never got their product and were left with a bitter taste after weeks of trying to contact the owners with no success. We believe that if there really were some sort of unfortunate circumstance that befell the owners of Kratom Shoppe, they would have made at least some effort to contact their customers.

Our advice: don’t try your luck placing an order with them.

How to Avoid Kratom Scams

You can never really be sure whether or not a kratom company will be legit. That said, there are some pretty good indicators that a site will be reliable.

For example, the website’s layout can suggest that the owners have enough money and experience to run a business. That said, some of the best and most reliable, hidden-gem kratom vendors have shoddy-looking websites but happen to offer great deals, quality kratom, and helpful customer service.

1. Do Your Research

So what’s a kratom enthusiast to do? Well, you’re already doing the first thing right: research.

See if the company puts its kratom through third-party lab testing. Third-party lab tests are a great way (and the only way) for a company to prove the authenticity of its products. Third-party labs should be non-affiliated with the company to offer unbiased results.

Also, look for accreditation from the American Kratom Association (AKA). Vendors can join this non-profit organization and submit their products to annual testing to ensure their kratom meets specific standards.

Gathering vendor reviews and consumer comments is another good way to help you figure out whether or not a company is legit.

You’ll also want to make sure that the company allows consumers to post all their honest reviews.

If you’re on a kratom site that looks questionable and you’ve heard a few bad things about it, and yet you’re seeing nothing but glaring five-star reviews on the webpage, this should ring an alarm bell.

Some sites pay people to write fake, positive reviews so that their website will look better. Rather than attracting customers with quality products and good service, they lure them in with deception and dishonesty.

2. Don’t Give Up

Even if you have a bad experience with one vendor, don’t let yourself get too discouraged. There are dozens of vendors out there, and many people have been buying kratom for decades.

Once you find a vendor that suits your needs, you may want to stick with them. Or, you may want to continue shopping around until you find an even better deal. That’s part of the fun of kratom shopping: finding the ultimate vendor for your needs.

What Other Customers Say About This Brand

People haven’t had much to say about Kratom Shoppe at all for quite some time.

If you search Reddit, you’ll find that the most recent posts regarding Kratom Shoppe were from more than half a decade ago. You’ll also notice that these posts weren’t at all positive. Mostly they were customers warning people to stay away from Kratom Shoppe.

If you check its Google Reviews, you’ll find a few that are more recent, although none that are any more helpful. The majority of the reviews complain that the company never answers the phone. Others are one-word reviews, such as “yummy,” as if that’s supposed to be helpful.

One review, however, features a dialog between both the customer and the owner of the Kratom Shoppe. It’s enough to make any sane person want to steer clear of them both. This is still available for all to see, so if you’re bored or have too much faith in humanity, check it out.

All in all, this exchange could be summarized succinctly as: stay away from this vendor.

Final Thoughts: Could It Get Worse?

It sounds like Kratom Shoppe was pretty reliable for its first short while of business. However, after it simply abandoned the ship.

The result was many angry customers and an epic failure that went down in kratom history. Though few people still talk about Kratom Shoppe, it is often remembered as one of the most embarrassing moments for the kratom community.

Instead, stick with a trusted vendor like Kona Kratom. You’ll get great kratom without unnecessary drama.
