Whole Herbs Kratom Vendor Review

With facilities in Connecticut and Missouri, Whole Herbs functions as one of the biggest domestic wholesalers of kratom products.

If you’ve been to a headshop, you’ve undoubtedly encountered the Whole Herbs Kratom brand.

Maybe you’ve been on the fence about giving this vendor a try?

Today’s review will clue you on what they have to offer – from their line of plain leaf kratom powders to their many purchasing options. It will also cover some key factors that you should consider before buying Whole Herbs Kratom.

Whole Herbs Kratom

Rating: 3

Whole Herbs may not be the best source for variety nor transparency, but most of the strains I’ve tried have been effective. What’s more, pricing is relatively reasonable for a smoke shop brand.

About the Company: Whole Herbs Kratom

Whole Herbs Kratom isn’t technically a vendor. Instead, they are a nationwide manufacturer and wholesale distributor.

This is important because it tells you a lot about the potential drawbacks of buying this brand.

Whereas other companies sell kratom exclusively to consumers, Whole Herbs Kratom farms much of that responsibility out to its broad cross-section of national retailers.

This makes it difficult for customers to hold the company accountable if a product is substandard or potentially contaminated.

While other brands post third-party certificates of analysis to their online stores, this St. Peters, MO wholesaler offers only a Pay Page for clients and an About Us that remains blank until you’ve given them your email address.

None of this is to say that Whole Herbs Kratom is anything other than a legitimate company, but they wave some red flags. Consumers would do well to approach this supplier, and its products, with a healthy degree of caution.

Whole Herbs Kratom Product Reviews

Whole Herbs Kratom strains are among the purest I’ve come across. This seller’s organic, non-GMO kratom capsules are ethically sourced and free of the additives used by lesser brands.

You won’t get any fillers, any contaminants, or any animal by-products. This is an all-natural kratom, plain and simple.

Best Kratom Powders

This vendor only stocks five kratom strains, but what they lack in variety they make up for in sheer accessibility; Whole Herbs Kratom can be found at damn near any smoke shop, truck stop, or corner store.

Whether these easy-to-find powders are any good is another story.

I’m happy to report that most, if not all, Whole Herbs’ strains work like a charm.

Whole Herbs Kratom Premium Indo

Premium Indo is one strain that has earned its elite namesake. This smooth Indonesian leaf is fresh, fragrant, and exhilarating. More than any other piece in the Whole Herbs staple, Indo Kratom is potent and long-lasting.

This is likely due to 7-hydroxymitragynine, the terpenoid indole alkaloid, which occurs at high levels in Indo cultivars.

Premium Indo is one of my go-to daytime strains, one that provides a much-needed pick-me-up when I’m feeling that mid-afternoon slump. IMHO, this one makes for oodles of delight and ease of activity.

On the other hand, it can be tough to toss ‘n wash what with the bitter taste. For this reason, I would only recommend buying kratom capsules. This is not the right choice for those with an itchy gag reflex.

You can get one hundred grams for $22.99 or two hundred twenty-five grams for $38.99.

Five hundred grams will cost $77.99, while a full kratom kilo (1,000 grams) will run you $144.99.

Green Malay

Green Malay has long been my go-to for clarity and motivation. This invigorating cultivar is known for its clean boost and inspiring aroma.

Whole Herbs’ Green Malay is some of the lightest, smoothest Green Malaysian Kratom I’ve tried. It is particularly pronounced in terms of the attendant focus one may achieve after brewing it.

Usually, I use around three grams before work or play, but this vendor’s Green Malay hits well at a low dosage of two to 2.5 grams.

Premium Malay powder starts at $23.99 for one hundred grams, but you’ll save by stocking up. Two hundred twenty-five grams go for $39.99.

If you want to buy bulk kratom powder, you’re in luck. A kilo of Premium Malaysian sells for $149.99.

Red Bali

As a longtime user, it takes a lot to impress me. I’ve dealt with enough vendors to know what I like and what I don’t like.

Red Vein Bali has never been my cup of tea, at least not until recently. Once I tried Whole Herbs’ Red Bali, I quickly reevaluated my opinion of this red vein kratom powder.

Red Bali was cultivated by grafting Borneo and Sumatra trees together, creating a formidable hybrid strain. This incredible strain shares many of Green Malay’s attributes (motivation and invigoration chief among them), but it distinguished itself from others through its relieving properties and moderate tranquility.

You can get Bali at the same prices I mentioned above, but you may want to consider investing in kratom capsules for convenience’s sake.

Other Strains Offered by Whole Herbs Kratom

Whole Herbs Kratom Maeng Da (MD) is widely regarded as the most potent Pimp Kratom on the market, but I have not found this to be true. In my experience, it made for a milder brew than what I’ve come to expect of MD strains.

Unlike other examples of green vein kratom, this Green MD is neither electrifying nor calming. And Whole Herbs’ red vein is not nearly as well-balanced as one would think.

What some users don’t realize is that Maeng Da comes from Horned Leaf Kratom. The natives of Southeast Asia believe Maeng Da to be the first Horn Kratom cultivar to grow in the region.

As such, it is said to possess higher concentrations of mitragynine than a traditional plain leaf.

Mitragynine makes up 66% of the total alkaloid content of real MD Horn. Alas, this is not always the case with what passes as Maeng Da here in the United States.

Since kratom is a mostly unregulated substance, vendors are free to market it as they see fit. Consequently, lesser strains of Mitragyna speciosa plant matter can be passed off as Maeng Da.

While I won’t make any allegations about the integrity of Whole Herbs’ claim that their product is genuine Maeng Da, I will say that I don’t get the aroma that I’m accustomed to. This may be due to a stale batch or simply boil down to substandard cultivation techniques.

It should go without saying that no two strains are created equal. As most any experienced user will tell you, effects vary wildly from person to person. In other words, I may not enjoy their MD Kratom, but that doesn’t mean that you won’t. Every person is different.

Kratom Capsules

Each strain is available as encapsulated kratom, making for a more pleasant experience than tossing and washing raw powder.

All capsules are 00 in size, non-GMO, vegan-friendly, and free of harmful dyes. They come in easily resealable plastic bottles.

You can pick up a 120-count bottle for $22.99, a 250-count for $38.99, or a 500-count for $77.99.

One thousand capsules will run you $128.99, which isn’t bad for a kilo of powder, but capsule content is likely far less than one thousand grams. Be sure to inquire before placing an order.

Final Thoughts: An Excellent Choice for Truck Stop Kratom Shoppers

I feel confident saying that Whole Herbs has potent kratom strains, but I’m hesitant to recognize it as safe. Until this manufacturer provides detailed information, including lab results, I refuse to regard it as 100% legit.

That being said, I have shared my positive experience with Green Malay and Red Bali, and I can’t recommend either strain enough. This is the plain leaf that headshop patrons can only dream about.
