Bounty Botanicals Review: A Good Source of Live Kratom Plants?

Bounty Botanicals is not a specialized kratom store; it’s a botanical shop that sells live kratom plants and cuttings and offers other seeds, extracts, and tinctures. It has special payment and shipment policies because of the live plants.

Bounty Botanicals is a botanical shop specializing in ethnobotanicals, such as kratom. Although it does offer some extracts and tinctures, it mainly sells live plants.

This store is not certified by the American Kratom Association (AKA). The Arizona-based company instead focuses on selling live plants — which can be a fun way to test your plant skills.

If you want to buy kratom powder, capsules, or extracts, skip to the Best Alternatives Kratom Vendors section of this article.

Bounty Botanicals

4 / 5
Ranked 39 out of 190 vendors

This one is hard to score — if you want to cultivate kratom, this vendor could be a great source of live plants. But, if you need kratom right away, we recommend you look elsewhere. It sells kratom only as cuttings. It also sells other live plants and some seeds. Extracts and tinctures are available, but none are related to kratom.

It also has restricted payment options — you cannot pay with debit or credit cards. According to the store owner, those companies do not allow some of the specimens Bounty Botanicals offers.

About the Company

Bounty Botanicals is located in Peoria, Arizona, and is run by Erik, a lover of gardening who has a passion for ethnobotanical plants. He started this business because he believes that education and access to these plants are ways of being free, choosing what you like, and benefiting from them.

Since education is of significant value to Erik, the whole page is full of information and the resources you need when planting. This is one of the strengths of this shop.

The kratom products are not directly available on the main web page. There is a link to a secondary online website to purchase live kratom plants, the only kratom-related product available at Bounty Botanicals.

If you are interested in buying, the only option is shipping since there isn’t a physical store. Also, payment options are restricted, and you must usually contact the owner.

Pros
  • Informative website
  • Exotic varieties
  • Great customer service
  • Knowledgable owner
Cons
  • Only sells live kratom plants
  • Not-so-good shipping times, but this is due to weather restrictions and live plants
  • Limited payment options
  • No AKA certification

Is Bounty Botanicals Legit?

Bounty Botanicals is a great place to go if you want live kratom plants.

The passionate owner has an Etsy shop with around 2000 sales and 300 reviews. This is the main independent proof we could find for this store, and it’s a pretty good sign of their legitimacy.

The website provides a PO Box number with the state where the products are shipped from. Also, there isn’t a phone number or a contact email for customers in the Contact Us section.

If you are looking for kratom, it redirects you to a secondary, sketchy-looking web page called Bounty Botanicals Plus. This second shop is supposedly specialized in kratom and Salvia divinorum.

Bounty Botanicals Plus is its sister site and offers seven different live plants named after the places they come from. In that same section, Live Kratom Plants (Mitragyna speciosa), there is information about kratom available, along with some paragraphs specifically about Bounty Botanicals’ live kratom plants.

While Bounty Botanicals does sell kratom as a plant, it is not a specified kratom vendor. Although there is a Dried Herbs section with the “Kratom Powder American Grown” option, no products are available.

Bounty Botanicals’ Product Reviews

Bounty Botanicals products are mainly live plants and seeds. There are some live kratom plants, but you can only find them on this vendor-specialized page—Bounty Botanicals Plus. We will review some plants here since it is the only kratom product available.

Product Name  Our RatingPrice Range
Kalimantan Kratom Plant4$35.00 – $40.00

Kratom Live Plants

As we’ve already mentioned, Bounty Botanicals only sells live kratom plants.

Kalimantan Kratom Plant

Kali kratom tends to be high in alkaloids, thanks to the rich soil and high humidity in Kalimantan, where this plant is from.

If you get it with a 2.5-inch pot, it will cost you $40.00.

Indonesia Kratom Plant

Indonesian kratom usually refers to kratom from Sumatra, though the term could technically apply to most kratom, as the tree is native to Indonesia.

You can get it as a root plug for $40.00.

Vietnam (Bumblebee) Kratom Plant

Vietnam is globally known for its ideal weather for growing kratom plants.

This plant comes in a 2.5-inch pot for $38.00 or as a root plug for $30.00.

Other Options Offered By Golden Rule Botanicals:

  • Hulu Kapuas Live Kratom Plant
  • Malay Live Kratom Plant
  • Borneo Live Kratom Plant
  • 24k (Elite Kalimantan Clone) Live Kratom Plant

Other Kratom Products

This kratom vendor only has live kratom plants. There are no other kratom products available for you to purchase. If you want kratom powder, capsules, or extracts, we will list a few vendors below for you to look into.

What You Can Expect To Pay

Prices are average. This vendor guarantees its products’ quality and claims they are lab-tested. Bear in mind that no proof of this is available.

Depending on the pot and the plant, you can expect to pay anything between $30 to $50.

Accepted Payment Options

Major credit and debit cards are not an option. Bounty Botanicals offers some specimens that these companies do not allow. It does have some other options, but this is important to note.

Money orders, cash, Google Pay, Cash App, and even Bitcoin are valid payment methods. For all of them, the detailed instructions are in the Payment Options Info section of the web page.

What Other Customers Say About This Brand

We could only find independent reviews on Bounty Botanicals products on its Etsy shop, with a 4.5-star rating. There are around 350 reviews, but some of the users commenting are, at least, questionable. People mainly comment about the packaging and whether they received the plants or products.

There were few reviews on Reddit, but the ones we found were positive and mentioned the excellent customer service. The owner is active on Reddit, seems to know his plants, and would likely be open to questions.

On its web page, all the kratom plants have a 5-star rating. Again, people mainly highlight the outstanding packaging and plant conditions after shipping. Also, some mention the owner’s level of expertise and knowledge when answering questions.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping is sent through USPS, with a flat rate of $5 for first class or $10 if you want to upgrade to priority mail. There are some places that Bounty Botanicals does not ship to — we recommend reading the FAQs section for more detailed information.

There is a ‘Live Plant Arrival Guarantee,’ which means that if the plants you order arrive in bad shape, they will replace them. All you need to do is send a picture within two days of arrival and wait for them to send you another one at their cost.

Returning live plants is not available, but if you purchased any other product, you may contact them and return it. In addition, a shipping schedule lists specific plants that are not shipped during a certain period due to climate. Shipping during that period means losing the live plant guarantee.

Final Thoughts: Not a Kratom Vendor, but Great for Live Plants

Bounty Botanicals is not a specialized kratom vendor. This shop sells mainly exotic live plants. It also offers seeds and some tinctures and extracts, but none are kratom-related.

If you want to purchase live kratom plants from this site, you won’t find them on its main web page. The Live kratom and salvia plants section will redirect you to a secondary, specialized kratom and salvia webpage called Bounty Botanicals Plus.

Bounty Botanicals claims to lab test the products, but they do not provide any lab tests or certification as proof. They have a lot of information regarding kratom, the shop’s strongest characteristic.

Overall, this kratom vendor is mainly intended for people who like gardening and are interested in harvesting their kratom. But if you want to buy already-processed kratom products, this is not the shop for you. Instead, we encourage you to look into VIP Kratom, Kona Kratom, and Star Kratom — our top three online kratom vendors.
