Kratora Vendor Review: Do the Prices Reflect the Quality?

Kratora is an established vendor with a vast lineup of botanicals, but with a focus on kratom. The company does a lot of things right, but every business has at least a few setbacks.

We’ll cover in this article why this shop is so popular among some kratom users but not so much with others.

Overall Rating:
4.0

Kratora has some very positive traits, like its commitment to the greater kratom community, huge selection, and commitment to quality and its customers. Some things make us skeptical, like its inflated prices and the reviews posted on the website.

They run their business in Texas, though their products ship from California. Kratora has kratom in all its forms and shapes, including powder, pills, extract, tinctures, and gummies.

Throughout this review, we’ll cover and compare their prices and quality with other vendors. We’ll explain what kratom strains they sell, how to pay for them, their return policy, and alternative vendors in case you want to shop elsewhere.

Kratora

4 / 5
Ranked 40 out of 190 vendors

Kratora offers its customers a lot and stands behind its products with a great return policy. However, the prices are much higher than the norm, and it seems the plethora of five-star reviews on its website doesn’t quite match up with the reviews we see elsewhere.

Still, if you have the money to spend and want to try something new, Kratora is a good place to shop.

About the Company

Kratora started operations in 2013 and has expanded its catalog to include every type of kratom available in the market and beyond.

It’s committed to keeping the products of consistently high quality by performing rigorous third-party lab tests on each. They also work with organic farmers from South Asia, picking the best kratom leaves and leaving the rest.

Kratora has its corporate office in Plano, Texas, but manages its customer service and shipping from Livermore, California.

Pros
  • Wide selection of products
  • Tests kratom through third-party labs
  • Good return policy
  • They ship to the US, Canada, Mexico, and international military bases
  • Overall positive customer reviews
Cons
  • Expensive
  • Lab results are only available after you buy from them
  • Uncertified by the American Kratom Association
  • Some customer reviews say the kratom isn’t worth the high price

Is Kratora Legit?

Yes, Kratora is legit.

They’ve been in business for nearly a decade, and it only takes a second to find testimonials from real people who’ve enjoyed their products. We found no reason to distrust their claims of working with Asian kratom farmers and harvesting ethically with sustainability in mind.

That said, there are some odd things about them. They support the American Kratom Association (AKA), but they’re not members, and they also claim to follow the AKA’s Good Manufacturing Practices Program but not “with” the AKA. They have mixed reviews online but only 5-star reviews on their site.

And their prices are twice as high — if not higher — than other vendors who offer the same products. We almost get the feeling they’re trying to impress kratom newcomers with their variety and take as much money from them before they find other vendors.

Kratora Product Reviews

Kratora sells botanical products, focusing on kratom and kratom alternatives. They offer different strains of it and different ways to take it. Let’s go through each of them.

  • Kratora’s Maeng Da Kratom — Any kratom enthusiast knows Maeng Da as one of the most potent strains. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for relaxing or energizing effects. If you want potency, this is the best one.

Price range: $19.99 (1 oz) – $229.99 (1 lb).

  • Kratora’s Premium Commercial Bali — This strain is so reliably good that most vendors sell it. Kratora sells Bali in organic form, free of any chemicals or contaminants.

Price range: $12.99 (1 oz) – $169.99 (1 lb).

  • Kratora’s White Borneo Kratom — As with most kratom from the white vein, White Borneo is a powerful stimulant. It has a distinctive aroma that you may enjoy.

Price range: $11.99 (1 oz) – $149.99 (1 lb).

Kratora’s other strains:

Kratom Capsules

Kratom capsules are kratom powder put inside a gelatin shell so you can take your dose without the hassle of making an infusion or enduring the powder’s bitterness. They’re convenient unless you’re looking for a higher dose, which would force you to take many pills.

Kratora’s Kratom Capsules:

  • Maeng Da – This strain is almost synonymous with potency and good quality. $22.99 – $87.99
  • Red Bali – This strain is well-rounded and perfect for fighting anxiety. $17.99 – $69.99
  • White Maeng Da – This is the white variety of Maeng Da, helpful to boost energy and mood. $23.99 – $93.99

  • Red Kali – This strain has relaxing qualities that have helped people with insomnia before. $19.99 – $70.99
  • Red Thai – As with many other red strains, this one has relaxing qualities and is also a capable painkiller. $19.99 – $70.99

  • Green Thai – This strain will focus your energy and concentration without being overwhelming. $19.99 – $70.99.

Kratom Tinctures

Kratom tinctures are an alcohol-based solution with all the effects of kratom. To achieve this, farmers dissolve kratom leaves in alcohol to extract their active compounds, then strain the leaves. Each kind costs $19.99 per bottle.

Kratora’s Kratom Tinctures:

  • Red Kratom Liquid Extract — This solution has all the qualities of red-veined kratom, meaning it has strong sedative and relaxing effects.
  • Green Kratom Liquid Extract — This one has green kratom effects, making it relaxing or energizing, depending on the dose.
  • Euphoric Kratom Liquid Extract — Euphoric kratom comes from white-veined varieties and has stimulating and nootropic effects.

Kratom Extracts

Kratom extract is a more potent version of kratom powder.

Kratora’s Kratom Extracts:

Kratom Gummies

Kratom gummies are chewable candy infused with kratom. They’re usually made from gelatin, though Kratora uses pectin to keep their product vegan. All their packets are $19.99.

Kratora’s Kratom Gummies:

  • Tropical Kratom Gummies
  • Green Tea Citrus

What You Can Expect to Pay

Here is the main reason you may want to shop elsewhere: Kratora is simply too expensive. The quality of their kratom is fine, but if you compare the cost and quality to other companies like Kona Kratom, you find their prices are 50% to 100% higher.

They give discounts ranging from 10% to 15% on their Deals page, and you can get coupons or participate in their reward system. For every dollar spent, you get one point; when you hit two hundred and fifty points, you get 25 dollars off an order.

They sell kratom in bulk with a discount to would-be resellers. Their bags go from 5-25 kg, and you need to register and use a different website to order.

Accepted Payment Options

Kratora accepts debit and credit cards from Visa and Mastercard. They also take money orders, ACH payments, and most cryptocurrencies provided by Coinbase. Bitcoin is among them.

To pay with bitcoin, you’ll need to buy it first. Services like Paypal and institutions like Bank of America sell it. Then you’ll need to move them to Coinbase, the wallet Kratora uses, to make your purchase.

What Other Customers Say About This Brand

If you were to go by the reviews on the Kratora website, you might believe they’re without fault. That image changes when you take a peek at Reddit’s kratom community.

Old and new reviews remark on how high Kratora’s prices are. But older reviews were kinder, mentioning how great the customer service and quality were. In this post, people talk about how consistently good the kratom is, and another user wrote a full-on positive review.

Something must’ve happened recently, as the tune changed in the past years. In this comment, a user complains about the pricing. And a positive review from three years ago changed a year ago to say they can’t recommend Kratora anymore.

Shipping & Returns

Kratora ships its products to Canada, Mexico, and all US states where kratom is legal. They also ship to international military bases. If you order before 3 PM EST on weekdays or 1 PM on Saturdays, they will ship it the same day.

Any order above $50 has priority shipping, and the option to pay for it is available for regular orders. Kratora offers free returns and a money-back guarantee within 30 days of the purchase.

Best Alternative Kratom Vendors

Final Thoughts: Not Certain the Quality Matches the Prices

Kratora could be one of the best — they have kratom alternatives and a great variety for those who like things other than powders all the time. Third-party lab tests make sure everything is safe, and they have a good return policy.

However, we don’t like how inflated their prices are. VIP Kratom is expensive because of its high standards, yet Kratora has prices higher than them.

We’re also skeptical of why there is almost nothing but five-star reviews on the website, but reading reviews elsewhere tells a different story.

If you want to try them, give their Super Enhanced Bali a shot, as enhanced kratom can be hard to find. However, if you want to shop for premium kratom in a cheaper place, we recommend Kona Kratom, Star Kratom, and VIP Kratom.
