Bikhuk Kratom Review: Falling Short

The kratom market is constantly growing, and new vendors keep implementing policies that raise the bar for every company. It’s interesting to see how these older vendors react — by adapting to the changes or staying stuck in their ways.

Bikhuk is a vendor from Jakarta, Indonesia, in business since 2006, and for a while, earned a good reputation and many loyal customers. Over time, the quality of its kratom worsened, and it now has too many negative reviews to ignore.

Below, I will review its much-discussed products, compare prices to see if they are worth it, and explore other alternative vendors. I’ll also look into what current kratom users think of this brand and the aspects it should improve to regain its status.

Bikhuk Kratom

2 / 5
Ranked 150 out of 190 vendors

Bikhuk Kratom does not ship to the USA for now. The website makes it sound like this is temporary, but a look at customer reviews suggests it’s been quite a long time. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) put it on its “red list” in 2022, further complicating things. An assessment of this brand’s online reputation tells us it’s past its prime.

While it may have been a pillar in the kratom market in the mid-2000s, it’s full of problems nowadays. These include conflicts with governmental agencies, serious customer complaints, and transparency issues.

Pros
  • Split kilos
  • Competitive prices
  • Locally sourced kratom
  • Wholesale options
  • Free international shipping
Cons
  • Poor customer reviews
  • Cannot ship to the US
  • No refunds or return policy
  • Lab results are not available
  • Website is not secure

About the Company

According to the website — which is not secure — Bikhuk Kratom began its global operation in 2006 from its offices in Jakarta, Indonesia, aiming to provide high-quality kratom straight from its source. To achieve this, it established mutually beneficial partnerships with indigenous suppliers.

Its modern facilities allow it to clean, dry, grind, sieve, and store its products properly to maintain decent quality standards. It built a loyal customer base by offering competitive prices and shipping internationally.

If you’re desperate to try this company and willing to purchase through a middleman, Herbees sells Bikhuk Kratom powders and can deliver them to the US at a higher price.

Bikhuk Kratom Product Reviews

Product NameOur RatingPrice Range
Kratom Leaf Powder2/5$95.90 – $369.90
Kratom Extracts1/5$69.50 – $599.90
Crushed Kratom Leaves2/5$95.90 – $284.90

Bikhuk Kratom has a limited product line and a small selection of kratom strains. You can buy regular powders, crushed leaves, stem and vein powder, and extracts, although the last product has been out of stock for a long time.

The packaging appears to be of poor quality, compromising the freshness of the kratom. It also offers odd amounts, with the ability to buy 0.8 kg bags, 1.7 kg bags, and 2.7 kg bags.

One of this brand’s perks is providing split kilo powders at no additional cost.

1. Kratom Leaf Powder

Manufacturers make kratom leaf powders with dried, finely ground kratom leaves, which you can ingest in numerous ways. Since it has an off-putting taste and texture, most users prefer brewing tea with it or mixing it with food, but you can also wash it down with water.

Remember to start small, gradually increasing your dose to prevent side effects.

Bikhuk Kratom Green Malay

Green Malay is balanced between red and white-veined strains, as most greens are.

Bikhuk’s Green Malay sells for $109.90 for 0.8 kg, $223.90 for 1.7 kg, and $342.90 for 2.7 kg of powder.

Bikhuk Kratom White Sumatra

White Sumatra provides energy and focus with a bit of a mood boost.

Bikhuk’s White Sumatra costs $99.90 for 0.8 kg, $199.90 for 1.7 kg. and $307.90 for 2.7 kg of powder.

Bikhuk Kratom Red Riau

Red Riau can be potent and make you sleepy and numb.

Higher doses could induce side effects, including nausea and dizziness. It costs $104.90 for 0.8 kg, $209.90 for 1.7 kg, and $319.90 for 2.7 kg of powder.

Other Strains Offered By Bikhuk Kratom

2. Kratom Extracts

Kratom extracts are a way to take powders to the next level in terms of potency.

By further processing them to filter out most of their alkaloids, you can get powders as much as fifty times stronger than regular products. The trade-off is that these concentrated products come in smaller amounts and are more expensive.

Bikhuk Kratom’s only extract, called ERIK (Extra Radical Indo Kratom), combines numerous strains that are about 10 to 15 times more potent than their powdered counterparts. Sadly, it has been out of stock for years.

Bikhuk sells the ERIK at $69.50 for 50 g, $129.90 for 100 g, and $599.90 for 500 g.

3. Crushed Kratom Leaves

Crushed kratom leaves skip the grinding process, resulting in shards of kratom leaves that you can brew into tea.

Its main benefit is consuming much less plant matter and avoiding stomach cramps and gastrointestinal issues. It also doesn’t taste, but its effects are identical to those of powders and capsules.

Bikhuk Kratom sells crushed Red Borneo leaves, which result in a smooth infusion that doesn’t upset your stomach as much as its powder. Expect to feel relaxed and profoundly sedated, even in small doses.

The prices for Bikhuk’s crushed leaves are $95.90 for 0.8 kg, $182.90 for 1.7 kg, and $284.90 for 2.7 kg.

Is Bikhuk Kratom Legit?

Bikhuk Kratom appears to have once been very legit. I appreciate the information on its blog, and there are good reviews from years ago, back when there were far fewer vendors. Now, I consider Bikhuk Kratom to be less trustworthy. The website is not secure, too many customers have very serious complaints, and the COAs from the lab tests are not on its website, only the claim that it tests every batch it processes.

The brand discloses its quality-control process, but there’s no way to verify that it takes the necessary measures to ensure freshness and potency.

Being part of the AKA’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Standards Program would clear these doubts. Additionally, while there are no complaints about scams, many users have shared negative experiences after consuming this brand’s products.

What You Can Expect To Pay

At Bikhuk Kratom, you’ll need to pay at least $99 for 0.8 kilograms of kratom, making its prices unreasonably high. For reference, you can expect to pay between $80 and $90 for a kilogram with a cheap, reputable vendor and get better transparency and customer service.

You can get an all-in-one bundle with 150 grams of each strain plus five grams of ERIK extract, although this extract has been out of stock for a long time.

The website says you can contact them about purchasing smaller amounts. Aside from this bundle, this brand doesn’t provide discounts or seasonal deals.

Accepted Payment Options

Since PayPal stopped providing its services to Bikhuk Kratom, payment options have shrunk, and the system has become much less reliable. As a replacement, you must fill out a Google form and wait until a representative contacts you to make your purchase.

Non-US buyers can pay with credit and debit cards and bank wires, while Bitcoin and money orders are available to all customers.

Buying Kratom With Bitcoin

When buying from Bikhuk Kratom, I recommend paying with Bitcoin, as the website’s payment system doesn’t seem secure.

If you’re new to these currencies, don’t worry. Buying kratom with Bitcoin is relatively straightforward. You can do this through popular payment services like Venmo or trusted exchanges such as Stake, Ninja, or Binance.

What Other Customers Say About This Brand

If you look at this brand’s Reddit reviews, you can pinpoint when it became an unreliable company, although not entirely because of its decisions. Tensions with the DEA forced the company to cancel direct US shipping and become a reseller, which made its prices higher.

Still, many users raised complaints about the products’ freshness and quality. Others reported severe side effects after taking Bikhuk Kratom’s strains.

On a more positive note, Redditor user chrisc8869 claims to have been shopping with Bikhuk for 15 years without ever receiving a bad batch.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping is free worldwide, excluding the United States. Due to issues with the DEA, which has stopped many of this vendor’s packages at customs, it can’t directly ship to the US from its Asian and European offices.

Bikhuk Kratom can’t accept orders from the following countries because of their ban on kratom:

FedEx and UPS Express handle deliveries at the following charges:

  • $21.53 for 1 kg packages
  • $26.91 for 2 kg packages
  • $32.29 for 3 kg packages
  • $37.68 for 4 kg packages

Remember that you can’t order from states and cities where kratom is illegal, including:

This brand boasts a satisfaction guarantee, although it has no policies to support this claim. There’s no refund policy on its website, and considering its problems with consistency, you could receive a bunk batch and have no way of recovering your money.

Final Thoughts: There Are Far Better Vendors Around

Maintaining a successful business in an ever-changing market takes a lot of work, and Bikhuk Kratom isn’t doing enough.

Newer companies have no problems disclosing lab test results for their products, providing favorable refund policies, or maintaining strict quality control. Paired with its lackluster selection of products and strains, this brand has little to offer that you can’t find elsewhere for a lower price.

Recommending any of its products is challenging because of the high price you’d have to pay just to try them. You’ll also need to buy through a middleman if you live in the US, which makes for a more expensive and burdensome experience.

I recommend you shop for kratom with VIP Kratom, Star Kratom, and Kona Kratom to have a satisfying experience from beginning to end.
