Kratom-K Vendor Review: Does It Offer More Than High Prices?

Kratom-K sets itself apart by offering kratom sourced from several brands, stating that this allows for the highest-quality kratom to be stocked rather than sub-par, low-potency, or potentially unsafe powders and capsules.

Unfortunately, the promise falls a bit short.

Below, you’ll read a complete review of Kratom-K, including company information, strain selection, pricing, and some alternative companies that can provide truly high-quality kratom that is tested by third-party labs and guaranteed to be potent and safe.

Kratom-K

2 / 5
Ranked 147 out of 190 vendors

All you find here is high-priced kratom without the lab tests or AKA certification to justify it.

About the Company

Kratom-K was previously based in Oceanside, California, but it has since relocated to Henderson, Nevada, presumably because of the kratom ban in Oceanside. “Kratom-K” is a DBA name for Nine2Five LLC, which also owns Green Leaf Kratom.

The company is owned and operated by Sebastian Guthery. He started Kratom-K in 2011, and he has some history in the kratom space as well as the hemp industry. He worked with a bulk kratom company in 2004 and started with Hemplogica — a CBD company — in 2015, a position he still maintains.

Kratom-K’s backstory is a bit vague on its website, stating that Mr. Guthery experienced some kind of need for kratom — although specifics aren’t included — which prompted him to share the benefits he found in Mitragyna speciosa with other people.

Unfortunately, Kratom-K has gotten some negative attention from the Better Business Bureau (BBB), including some complaints from customers about shipping times and double charging.

Pros
  • Large selection of strains
  • Powders and capsules available
Cons
  • Negative attention from the BBB
  • Not AKA certified
  • Doesn’t post third-party lab results
  • Expensive

Kratom-K Product Reviews

Kratom-K sells kratom powders and kratom capsules. It provides a wide range of strains — including red, green, and white varieties — in both dosing methods.

1. Kratom Leaf Powder

Kratom leaf powder is made by drying leaves from the Mitragyna speciosa tree and crushing them into a fine powder.

Kratom powder is the most common way to consume kratom and is, by far, the most widely available.

Kratom-K Red-Veined Maeng Da Kratom

The Red Maeng Da kratom from Kratom-K is noted to be best for sedation, anxiety relief, relaxation, and pain relief, as most red strains are. This is one of the most popular strains available, and Kratom-K appears to stock it year-round.

It sells Red Maeng Da in a variety of sizes, from 50 g up to 1,000 g, allowing you to stock up when you need to or sample it to see if this strain is for you. There are no third-party lab test results posted on the website, so you cannot verify the potency or purity of this strain from Kratom-K.

Price: $14.95 for 50 grams, $27.95 for 100 grams, $51.95 for 250 grams, $99.95 for 500 grams, or $195.95 for 1,000 grams/1 kilogram

Kratom-K White-Veined Bali Kratom

Another popular strain from Kratom-K is the White Bali kratom, best known for its stimulative and nootropic effects, which the website mentions briefly.

The product description states that this strain is carefully selected only from reputable farms in Bali, Indonesia, although there is nothing to substantiate these claims. There is no third-party lab testing done on this product, and the pricing is rather high for an untested and unverified kratom powder.

Price: $14.95 for 50 grams, $27.95 for 100 grams, $51.95 for 250 grams, $99.95 for 500 grams, or $195.95 for 1,000 grams/1 kilogram

Kratom-K Green Maeng Da Kratom

Maeng Da kratom is one of the overall more popular strains, so it’s no surprise that the Green Maeng Da from Kratom-K is one of its most popular options.

The product description states this is one of the most powerful strains available, although no effects profile is mentioned.

There’s also some misinformation about when green-vein kratom is harvested, which is discouraging and suggests that the people at Kratom-K aren’t the experts they claim to be.

Despite not having third-party lab tests available and having questionable potency and purity, this kratom is quite expensive.

Price: $14.95 for 50 grams, $27.95 for 100 grams, $51.95 for 250 grams, $99.95 for 500 grams, or $195.95 for 1,000 grams/1 kilogram

Other Strains Offered By Kratom-K

One of the things Kratom-K gets right is the number of strains they offer. While it doesn’t provide access to rare strains, the wide selection is sure to provide you with the strain you’re looking for or something similar in the effects profile. Below are all of the other kratom strains Kratom-K offers in powder form.

These all come with the same pricing, which is rather high: $14.95 for 50 grams, $27.95 for 100 grams, $51.95 for 250 grams, $99.95 for 500 grams, or $195.95 for 1,000 grams/1 kilogram.

Kratom Strains Offered by Kratom-K Include:

2. Kratom Capsules

Kratom capsules are gel capsules that contain pre-dosed kratom powder. They’re becoming more and more popular because they allow users to avoid the bitter and undesirable taste of kratom powder. However, they do make it more challenging to dose precisely, and they tend to be more expensive for the amount of powder you get.

Kratom-K Red-Veined Borneo Kratom Capsules

Red Borneo kratom is touted for its powerful sedative properties and its ability to reduce pain, due in large part to the abundance of alkaloids, which Kratom-K mentions in the product description.

These capsules are sold by weight, which is a bit confusing, as most companies sell by quantity. Each capsule contains around 0.5 g of powder, so they will likely go very quickly. There are no third-party lab results posted for these capsules, so you won’t be able to confirm potency or quality.

Price: $11.95 for 50 grams, $21.95 for 100 grams, $39.95 for 250 grams, $75.95 for 500 grams, or $147.95 for 1,000 grams/1 kilogram

Kratom-K Green-Veined Malay Kratom Capsules

Green Malay is a prominent green strain, prized for its relatively mild and smooth effects. The product page guarantees that the kratom is pure and contains no additives, but there are no lab results to substantiate these claims.

The website also doesn’t mention the expected effect profile for this strain, suggesting a lack of experience. These capsules are rather pricey, especially since the quality is questionable.

Price: $11.95 for 50 grams, $21.95 for 100 grams, $39.95 for 250 grams, $75.95 for 500 grams, or $147.95 for 1,000 grams/1 kilogram

Kratom-K White-Veined Borneo Kratom Capsules

White Borneo kratom is best known as the mother of all stimulative strains. Although Kratom-K’s website doesn’t mention the effects, users report feeling intense stimulation and nootropic effects. These capsules are on the expensive side, especially since the quality and consistency aren’t backed by third-party lab results. These capsules are sold by weight rather than quantity, and each contains 0.5 g of kratom powder.

Other Capsules Offered by Kratom-K

Just as it does with kratom powder, Kratom-K offers capsules in many different strain varieties. Below are all of the strains this company sells in capsule form. All of these are sold with the same pricing model: $11.95 for 50 grams, $21.95 for 100 grams, $39.95 for 250 grams, $75.95 for 500 grams, or $147.95 for 1,000 grams/1 kilogram.

Is Kratom-K Legit?

Kratom-K doesn’t appear to be a scam in either sense, but it’s certainly not the top choice to source kratom online because of reviews and product quality.

The most significant red flags when it comes to Kratom-K leave the quality of the products in question. The company is not accredited by the American Kratom Association (AKA), which isn’t always a major red flag.

However, none of the products on Kratom-K’s website have third-party lab results available, nor is the possibility of testing mentioned anywhere on the site. Third-party testing is one of the first things you should look for in a kratom vendor, as it offers you a way to verify the purity, potency, and safety of a product before purchasing. Although the company’s website states that products are ethically sourced from reputable kratom farms, a lack of test results means these claims cannot be verified.

Additionally, Kratom-K is not accredited with the Better Business Bureau because it has received a number of complaints from customers. These include products never being shipped until a complaint is filed, products arriving late despite expedited shipping being paid for, and double charges to a card or other payment method after purchase.

Overall, Kratom-K isn’t the best source for kratom. It’s recommended that you find a more reputable company that provides third-party lab tests and has better customer service.

What You Can Expect To Pay

Kratom-K maintains a nice variety of products, but all of them are quite expensive, especially given that the quality the company claims to provide isn’t verifiable. All strains come with the same pricing model, which allows you to save a bit on bulk orders.

Kratom powders are available in the below quantities:

  • 50 grams for $14.95
  • 100 grams for $27.95
  • 250 grams for $51.95
  • 500 grams for $99.95
  • 1,000 grams for $195.95

The kratom capsules available are sold by weight as well and are available in the below quantities:

  • 50 grams for $11.95
  • 100 grams for $21.95
  • 250 grams for $39.95
  • 500 grams for $75.95
  • 1,000 grams for $147.95

These prices are about average but are a bit higher than some other competitors. The site mentions that the prices are higher because of the quality, but without third-party lab results, it’s impossible to say whether the kratom is worth the investment.

Kratom-K offers discounts on the regular, and it always provides free shipping. It’s possible to save a bit of money if you shop during a sale, especially if you buy in larger quantities.

Accepted Payment Options

Kratom-K accepts credit cards, but it doesn’t accept American Express or Discover. You’ll have to pay with a MasterCard or Visa if you plan to use a card. It also accepts ACH deposits and certified money orders.

However, some negative reviews filed with the Better Business Bureau state that the certified money order option doesn’t work and leads to double charging when you inevitably opt to pay with another payment form.

What Other Customers Say About This Brand

Kratom-K has a slew of negative reviews on several websites, including Reddit, the go-to source for vendor and strain reviews for countless users.

Some of the most compelling negative reviews include one about the Maeng Da kratom being severely underpowered and overpriced, including a comment about it being the worst kratom the user has ever tasted. Others state that additional strains that are known to be potent — including Bali and Vietnam strains — did not provide the expected effects.

Most reviews state that the shipping is remarkably slow and often takes longer than quoted, even when the user pays extra for expedited shipping.

The reviews on Kratom-K’s website are mostly four and five stars, in stark contrast to the reviews on external websites. It seems clear that the reviews posted on the site itself are internally created to give the impression of positive customer service and a quality product.

Shipping & Returns

Kratom-K states that they don’t ship to countries or states where kratom is illegal, and the checkout form on the website doesn’t allow shipping addresses in these areas to be entered. This is a good sign that the company at least cares to abide by the law.

The site states that shipments will be processed and sent out within one to two business days, although there are many negative reviews online that state that shipping — even if expedited shipping was paid for — is slow and can take up to two weeks.

Kratom-K accepts returns and promises to refund orders that are sent back within 30 days of receiving them. However, it does not accept opened packages, which means you won’t be able to try the kratom before deciding if you plan to keep it. Combined with the lack of third-party lab results, this return policy suggests that the kratom from Kratom-K is weak and of low quality.

Despite the return policy, some users online have noted that customer service is slow to respond or completely unhelpful, occasionally resulting in lost money altogether.

Best Alternative Kratom Vendors

If you’re looking for high-quality kratom you can trust, Kratom-K is likely not the best option. It’s recommended to opt for a company that is accredited with the American Kratom Association, provides third-party lab results, and has a customer service department that guarantees quality and responds to customer inquiries and issues.

Below are some of the top-rated kratom vendors that will likely provide a better experience than shipping with Kratom-K.

Kona Kratom

It provides third-party lab results for every product it sells, so you can always be certain of the potency and purity.

Kona’s products are reasonably priced, especially for the quality. The customer service is outstanding, and it offers a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee on all of its products.

  • ✅ Good customer reviews

VIP has a decent selection of strains available, but you can expect to pay a bit more for each of them. The positive reviews online all suggest that the quality is worth the price, though.

Pros & Cons:

  • ✅ Well-respected online kratom brand
  • ✅ Superior quality to most competitors
  • ✅ Guaranteed potency and purity via third-party lab tests
  • ✅ Good strain selection
  • ✅ Powders and capsules available
  • ✅ Positive online reviews
  • ✅ Same day shipping

Final Thoughts: Low-Quality, Expensive Kratom & Insufficient Customer Service

Overall, it’s probably best to steer clear of Kratom-K. Although the company offers a wide variety of strains in both powder and capsule form and promises quality and potency, none of these claims are substantiated.

Kratom-K doesn’t provide lab test results for any of its products, and there is no evidence to suggest that the products are tested at all. Despite the unverified quality, the prices are slightly above average, even when items are purchased in bulk.

Kratom-K is not AKA-certified, it has a number of negative reviews regarding quality, potency, and shipping times on Reddit and the Better Business Bureau’s website, and the customer service is severely lacking. It’s strongly recommended to source your kratom from a different online vendor.
